Guided Montana Rifle Elk Hunts

Guided Rifle Hunting Trips for Elk in Montana: Elk hunts in Big Sky Country Montana can be one of the most exhilerating and highly anticipated hunting trips of the year! A beautiful landscape, professional guides and lots of resident elk await you as we continue to build our business as Montana's premier elk hunting outfitter. We can offer you rifle elk hunts on some of the best elk hunting private lands in Region 3, which is home to some of the best elk hunting in the state of Montana! Some of these elk herds here on our private elk hunting ranches we get our clients into number 500 or more during the firearm season. With one of the largest elk herds in the state calling one of our 6,000 acre ranches home, it's truly a blast going after these elk here on the Eastern side of the Rocky Mountains! Our lands are relatively low in elevation considering most elk hunts take place above 7,000' in elevation. Private lands we elk hunt on here in Montana average about 5,000' - 7,000' in elevation and are located near our hunting lodge to offer you a elk hunt that is both enjoyable, and much easier on the body than your typical pack in mountain hunts. Some rifle hunting properties are more open terrain, gently rolling topography which can be a fun style of hunting. Spot and stalk is the key here and listening to your guide will make your trip a successful one during this type of elk hunt here in Montana.

With several beautiful private elk hunting properties targeting multiple resident elk herds we can move hunters into areas with the most elk. A fully guided elk hunt allows us to get you on the elk whether glassing open pastures, clear cuts, alfalfa/grain fields, and meadows preparing for a stalk, or hiking timbered ridges and mountain sides keying in on travel corridors and bedding areas to get you close to your trophy bull elk. Knowing the location of the properties food and water sources, travel routes, and elk movement patterns through these ranches allows us to offer a truly exceptional guided elk hunt here in Montana. All our elk hunting is done on private properties with abundant big game populations managed for high success in some of the most breathtaking scenery you'll experience in the United States. If the elk are in the open prairies, or in the timbered mountain properties, we'll have a game plan to give you the best chances for success. Other big game hunts are available that include whitetail deer, mule deer, & antelope hunts. Combination hunts are a popular way to get the most out of your Montana big game hunting adventure. Weather during this time of year can be very unpredictable. So bring plenty of layers and a warm pair of water proof boots for hiking in snowy conditions. A warm stocking cap and water proof gloves are also recommended with a wind stopper liner being a plus. Long hours stalking or waiting on a bedded herd of elk to move by your location can be just as physically draining in cold weather as hiking endless steep mountains in the warmer month of September. A good quality water proof back pack is also recommended to hold extra clothe and essentials such as water, food, a range finder and extra ammunition as these Montana rifle elk hunts on our private lands can be a real blast...!

Fortunately our lodge is located in the heart of our private elk hunting properties, making it possible for us to return you to the lodge each evening for a hot, well prepared, all you can eat "country-style" dinner. At the lodge, a hot shower, good food, lively conversation and a good nights rest in a comfortable bed make for a enjoyable style of elk hunt . Montana is a beautiful place to hunt elk and our private leases have some of the most abundant big game populations and stunning scenery in America! Come prepared for long hours and a fun filled adventure as we'll do everything we can to make your elk hunt with us in Montana a once in a lifetime experience!
